Plastic materials:

Paper materials: 

Paper materials are the most basic and simple model making tools and they are widely used by everyone. The raw materials of paper are mainly plant fibers. In addition to the three major components of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, the raw materials also contain a small amount of resin, ash, and the like. According to the thickness and weight of the paper is divided into paper and cardboard. The material can be changed by cutting or folding the original shape; a variety of different textures can be produced by wrinkling; the inherent color of the material can be changed by rendering, which has strong plasticity.

Clay material:

Sludge: 

Sludge is a man-made material. After solidification, it is extremely soft, soft and hard. Slurry has strong plasticity, and its viscosity and toughness are stronger than that of yellow mud (clay model). It is easy to use when molding, free to sculpt and trim in the molding process, not easy to crack after molding, and can be used repeatedly. Slurry is expensive and easy to carry. It is more suitable to make some small, irregular and curved surfaces. It is generally very convenient to use oil sludge like car or boat. Therefore, it is a wise choice to use brown oil sludge as the outermost layer of sludge. The main components of the sludge are talcum powder 62%, vaseline 30%, and industrial wax 8%.


Gypsum: 

Gypsum is economical, easy to use and used in ceramics, plastics, and model making. The plaster is delicate in texture and can be easily repaired after molding. It is easy to store for a long time and is suitable for making various required models for display display.


Metal materials: 

Metal materials are most commonly used for steel materials, such as various specifications of steel, pipes, plates, and sometimes small amounts of other metal materials such as aluminum alloys. The production of metal model materials mainly considers factors such as mechanical properties and costs. The mechanical properties are mainly considered from the aspects of the strength, elasticity, hardness, rigidity of the metal material, and the ability to resist impact stretching. The metal model processing technology mainly includes cutting, welding, casting and forging. Due to the limited processing conditions in the laboratory, there are fewer metal model processes.
